He is the leader of the Phantom Thieves, a group of teenaged misfits who use an alternate dimension called the Metaverse to force criminals to confess their wrongdoings.
⯌ Originally from a more rural area, he was sent to Tokyo after being convicted for an assault he didn't commit. He is currently a second year at Shujin Academy.
⯌ He lives in the attic over Cafe Leblanc in Yongen-Jaya, spending his year of probation under the care of Sojiro Sakura. Maintaining an unassuming appearance, he does his best to act as an honest student while balancing the Phantom Thieves' activities.
⯌ In the Metaverse, he takes on special thieves' attire and goes by the code name Joker, while also being able to wield the power of Persona, manifestations of the human psyche. Joker has the power of the Wild Card, a unique ability allowing him to summon multiple Personas.

Relatively tall and thin, subtly muscular. Black bedhead hair and gray eyes. He's designed to be reminiscent of a cat and moves as such, usually graceful—until those chaotic moments when he's not. Generally, he gives off the impression of an ordinary guy, although his eyes are noted to be intense without his usual glasses obscuring them.
⯌ Fashion: Wears his school uniform pretty by-the-book. Outside of school, he dresses in clean, simple styles, mostly monochrome tones. Typically seen wearing a pair of plain black frames and carrying his school bag.
⯌ Olfactory: Coffee and curry spice.
⯌ Demeanor: Tends to come across quiet and well-mannered at first, perhaps even a bit reserved at first, but like a cat, he tends to open up to those he trusts with humor and playfulness, while those who bother him get a smart-ass attitude or outright anger.
